Updated: Aug 15, 2018

Online shopping vs. Retail Shopping

Online Shopping vs. Retail shopping refers to they channel a person's decides to shop in. In today's world online shopping has a strong presence that has become huge with companies like Amazon. Retail shopping is going to a physical location to buy goods. Both can have emotions and attitudes about using a particular product, system or service. Online shopping has online been around since around 1994 (Tuttle).

User experience helps the process of online shopping become more efficient by examining an individual perception and thought while navigating a website.

Customer Experience is a universal term that can be talked about online shopping and retail shopping. It is the experience a customer feels while shopping. This can be positive or negative. The goal for a website or retail store is to create a customer experience that enhances their feelings towards a brand or product to ultimately make a purchase.

The Wiki assignment was killer, at least for me! It was a little hard to understand the article; I'd recommend reading it through a few times for small grammatical errors and unfinished sentences the next time around :)

I know I really struggled with the Wiki assignment. I felt like I was writing in an uncomfortable, restrictive format and I'm wondering if maybe you felt the same because the words just don't seem to flow as well as they do in your other posts - especially the most recent posts which have been really good.

I love the topic you pick here and the important differentiating of retail vs. online and how you underscore that the User Experience is critical to both.

A quick proofread my reveal the need for a few fixes like: "Online shopping has online been around since around 1994 (Tuttle)." (I don't think you mean to say online twice).

Hope you find my comments…
