Mod 6: Self-Evaluation

Updated: Aug 18, 2018

This semester has been a journey. I enjoy getting to be creative in new way. I am still working on becoming a strong overall writer but have been enjoying learning along the way. For me, I am glad I picked a topic I am interested in and have chosen a career in "online shopping." I think that is the key to writing well - choosing something you enjoy.

I enjoyed writing this article because after learning one of the modules I realized my first draft was terrible and that I needed to look at this information in a more exciting or interesting way. I really enjoy the brainstorming process I did beforehand. I think the changes I made created a more interesting article and I feel as though I communicated my ideas to the best I can.

Is your current voice a successful voice? How so? What have you learned? Where do you want to go next? Would you rename your blog or pseudonym? Would you start over with a different beat? How will you proceed?

I have been enjoying finding my voice and feel its on its way to being successful but good things take time and even greater things take even more time. I think I learned the most from reading other student blogs. I get to see their beats develop and grow as a writer.

I enjoyed their subject matters and feel as though most of the class chose topics they were interested in. If I did this class again I would not change my beat. I would work to improve my drafts even more. I can be very self critical and have a hard time figuring out when something is complete. I wouldn't rename my blog or the avatar I created - I'd just add to what has started.
