Mobile shopping has increased 54% since last year and is growing. On the content management system Shopify, 64% of sales are coming from mobile during the holiday season. Mobile shopping is become such a big trend in the online shopping world.
"Only 7% were online-only shoppers and 20% were store-only shoppers. The remaining majority, or 73%, used multiple channels during their shopping journey. We call them omnichannel customers." (Wahbe, Andrea).
The goal is to reduce the amount of steps to get to check out.
Many mobile and desktop sites aspire to have more personalization.
Personalization is a major trend today in the eCommerce world. People are becoming more interested in 'not wasting time' and seeing things they are actually interested in seeing. An example is men only seeing mens products.
